Sandstrand Cottage is located in Michigan's "Thumb," halfway between the towns of Caseville and Port Austin. This unique spot on the sandy Lake Huron shoreline has one of the few remaining private beaches and an unobstructed view of the lake, perfect for swimming, boating and fishing.

The "Thumb" area also provides many recreational opportunities with nearby watercraft launches, marinas, fishing boat charters and state parks. Our year-round cottage will let you take advantage of winter sports and activities such as cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.

This cozy little house is air conditioned, heated, cable connected, and features a well equipped modern kitchen. The large deck and working lighthouse help to create a perfect family vacation atmosphere.

Sandstrand is the Swedish word for sandy beach, and reflects both our heritage, and our location.
